To compare the Tarte Shape Tape and Too Faced Born This Way, I applied each beneath one eye. The result: a complexion that appears naturally radiant when applied over or under foundation-even when worn alone. Creamy and comfortable, a proprietary blend of color correctors create the look of flawless skin.

It’s infused with skin care benefits, including coconut water to replenish moisture levels, Alpine rose to brighten and boost radiance, and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful look. Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer claims (via Sephora):īorn This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer banishes the appearance of dark circles and imperfections while it blurs the look of lines and wrinkles. Powered by Amazonian clay and conditioning mango seed and shea butters, the nutrient-rich concealer helps promote skin elasticity and illumination with each crease-free application. Wear it 1-2 shades lighter or darker, and it works as a creamy highlighter or contouring stick with a lightweight, blendable formula and tapered wand applicator ideal for precise strobing and sculpting. The hydrating, longwearing formula delivers natural, radiant coverage across all skin types so you can instantly brighten and cover acne, dark circles and redness while softening the look of pores and fine lines.

Sculpt and highlight as you mask imperfections with this 2-in-1 full coverage concealer. Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer claims (via Ulta): So, I thought it might be fun to do a head-to-head showdown of two products! As you may remember, I have always struggled to find concealers/correctors that brighten my undereye area without emphasizing the natural creases. Both are recent releases and certainly have quite a bit of hype around them. This week I put two concealers to the test.

NO FOUNDATION is on my face! Only this concealer. Coverage is great! Below is my BEFORE shot and then me wearing ONLY the Too Faced Concealer (Smashbox primer water and original photofinish primer). I put another swatch atop it, so yeah give it some time. Then look at the next picture of my hand blended it out. If you look at my hand swatch below, notice how yellow it is. Both the foundation and concealer oxidizes (changes/darkens), so swatch it in store and walk around a few minutes to see how the color truly shows up against your skin-tone. I have dry skin, and what I like about this concealer is that it's infused with coconut oil (to replenish the skin's moisture levels), alpine rose (to brighten and boost radiance) and hyaluronic acid (to give the skin a smoother, more youthful appearance). I used setting powder atop it (under my eye area), which helped alleviate that issue. I experienced very little creasing with this concealer. The Too Faced concealer just has a makeup scent. Two bloggers brought up very good points yesterday! I forgot to mention I didn't experience any creasing with the Shape Tape, but it does have a floral scent (I wish they would leave that out). It gives excellent coverage, but you will still be able to see birthmarks, freckles while hiding those under-eyes. If the Tarte Shape is too much coverage for you, then you will love TF Born This Way. I talked about Tarte Shape Tape yesterday and how much I love it. I purchased it in Medium and you guys, I kept using it and using it until what you see in the pictures below (yep, scraping the edges) LOL I almost didn't have enough to do this review. When Too Faced came out with their Born This Way Concealer ($28), I had to try it. They also came out with the setting powder this year. Too Faced's Born This Way Foundation is just a great everyday, any day foundation. I use it everyday! I'm almost out of it (Warm Beige) and want to try Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation next. You know how gimmicky Too Faced can get! HaHaHa But it REALLY is an EXCELLENT foundation! My fellow blog buddy Desle of Diva Desle blog purchased it and told me how much she loved it. When Too Faced came out with their Born This Way Foundation several years ago, I was a little skeptical.
